First Ron Raines breaks Bernadette Peters’ heart in Follies, and now he’s crushing the dreams of the kids over at Newsies. Yet we still felt like cheering for the silver fox as hestepped into the role of Newsies’ 1% villain Joseph Pulitzer on October 9. The soap star-turned-Tony nominee joins the Broadway company through December 16, while original cast member John Dossett appears in the Public Theater’s production of Giant. Broadway.com headed to the Nederlander Theater to see Raines in action and get a first look at his spiffy costume.
