Today is the birthday of the original Henry. Kyle Coffman was born on September 21.

His hometown is Boise Idaho. His favorite food is fried eggs. His first role was the Scarecrow in “The Wizard of Oz.” All of this information was on the back of his Newsies trading card.

We learned a lot more about this awesome actor/singer/dancer when Newsies presented us with the “Meet the Newsies – Henry” video:

Kyle’s Broadway credits include A-Rab in the 2009 revival of West Side Story and Henry in Newsies. Kyle recently left the cast of Newsies to join the production of the Roundabout Theatre Company’s The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Previews begin October 19th.
